CODE OF CONDUCT
The aim of the Code of Conduct is:
To facilitate learning and teaching at schools. To ensure that there is order and discipline in schools.
To promote and clarify the roles and responsibilities of various stockholders in creating a proper learning environment.
To provide appropriate avenues for learners, educators and parents to address their grievances.
To provide for legitimate discipline measures.
To ensure no suspension or expulsion without a fair hearing.
The code of conduct sets out acceptable and unacceptable behavior within Arcadia School as agreed upon by the parents and educators. Some actions are according to the law and must be handled by structures that have been legally established to deal with infringements of the law.
Uniforms
All learners must be correctly dressed in the correct uniform at all times. Pupils who are incorrectly dressed must present a letter from their parents stating the reason. This letter will be valid for a maximum of 5 school days. Neatness and pride in personal appearance should be encouraged.
All articles of clothing and equipment used at the school should be clearly marked with the owners FULL NAME.

Wear the prescribed uniform for all activities. Neatness is essential. It is the duty of each learner to ensure that he/she is correctly dressed when representing the school.

Hair should be short, neat and tidy. Shaped off the ears and off the collar. Hair is to
follow the shape of the head. (ie. no steps). Hair may not be coloured or braided. No gel is allowed. Hair may not be shaved shorter than a no. 1 length. No fashion hairstyles are permitted.

Off the face and if long enough, to be tied back. Bottle green, white or tortoise shell bobbles or ribbons should be worn if hair is tied back.
Alice bands and slides should be bottle green, white or tortoiseshell.
Hair may not be coloured or permed.
Own hair may be braided flat against the head or if long enough to be tied back, it must be tied back.
No gel is allowed. No extensions are allowed.
No fashion hairstyles are permitted. The final say rests with the principal.

Girls - Watch, and if ears are pierced, plain gold/silver studs or thin sleepers regulation only.
